Τhe 3rd meeting of Greek ERA Chairs took place on the 30th of October on the grounds of FORTH. This national event was co-organised by George Garinis, Professor of Genetics at the University of Crete and Group Leader at IMBB-FORTH and Melina Tamiolaki, Professor of Classics, at the University of Crete. It showcased the impact of ERA Chair projects coordinated by Greek institutions under the Horizon Europe WIDERA actions.
The meeting brought together ERA Chairs, coordinators, and stakeholders to discuss how these initiatives are transforming research excellence in Greece — from talent attraction and international collaboration to institutional innovation and sustainability.

The agenda of meeting included:
• keynote speakers from the European Commission, PRAXI Network, and leading Greek research centers
• Presentations from ERA Chair projects
• Open roundtable on “Upgrading Research Science in Greece”
