15 December 2025 – Democritus University of Thrace, MSc Programme “Translational Research in Biomedicine”
On 15 December, the MSc programme “Translational Research in Biomedicine – Molecular Diagnostics, Biomarkers and Targeted Therapies” at Democritus University of Thrace hosted an insightful online seminar titled “The Structural Function of Membrane Proteins.”
The talk was delivered by Prof. Argyris Politis, who presented the latest technological developments in the analysis of membrane protein dynamics using Hydrogen–Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry (HDX-MS). He highlighted how cutting-edge MS-based approaches are transforming our understanding of membrane protein behavior in physiological environments, particularly through lipid-induced conformational changes and their functional implications.
The seminar was attended by a focused audience of 10 MSc students, fostering an engaging and interactive learning experience.
